To celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, while also calling for action to celebrate gender balance in our local communities.
The main activity will be held in the form of a Cultural Arts Festival involving five (5) different traditional genres .This will be in the form of Muchongoyo traditional dance, Chokoto traditional dance, mbira, Zvipunha and Manyanga. These dance groups will be brought together at one place to showcase their talent while explaining to the public why these traditional dances are a positive tool for community cohesion and how they honour gender balance. The above mentioned cultural dances are centrally important in preserving the community’s identity and sense of value. They have a moral base for the promotion of symmetrical relationships in the community.
